Our 2026 Journey Begins: Preparing for Our Big Move to Canada

Now that 2026 has officially arrived, things are going to start moving aggressively here in my home.

Since May of last year, my husband and I have been researching and planning and working towards a massive international move.

We are moving to Canada.

Seven months last year were spent laying the groundwork, asking questions, making connections, doing research... all to determine that this seems to be possible.

So now, 2026 becomes a major year of change for us.

Next weekend, we are taking a trip to Alberta to tour houses and neighborhoods and get a feel for the areas. We believe we know where we want to settle, but this will be a good time to confirm that.

In February and March, we have back-to-back cruises, and when we return home, the paperwork wheels will be set in motion.

With any luck, we will be fully relocated by September of 2026.
